WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

In 1919, a small one-man shop, began operations at the Front Street location, initially focusing on providing repair services.

As the demand for ship repair and fabrication services grew in the region, the company expanded its operations and expertise. By the 1940s, they had evolved into a reputable shipbuilding firm, playing a crucial role in supporting the maritime industry.

In 1941, the company secured its first major government contract. The successful completion of that project established them as a key player in shipbuilding efforts and laid the foundation for its future growth and success.

Throughout the 20th century, they continued to innovate and diversify its offerings, expanding into the construction of a wide range of vessels, including barges, tugs, and ferries. The company's commitment to quality craftsmanship, engineering excellence, and customer satisfaction earned it a sterling reputation in the maritime industry.
