Gunderson Marine & Iron (GM&I) is excited to announce the public launch of the U.S. Navy Mobile Ship Target (MST) at its Portland shipyard. The launch event will take place on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at the GM&I facility located at 4350 NW Front Avenue, Portland, OR. Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. and at 8:30 a.m. the MST will be launched into the Willamette River.

This event marks a significant milestone in the partnership between Gunderson Marine & Iron and the U.S. Navy, as GM&I has designed and built the MST to support the Navy’s training exercises and operational readiness. The MST will be utilized as a target for missile testing and training purposes, providing essential data and enhancing the Navy's capabilities in defense operations.
